Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll respond to calls for lockouts, key replacements, broken locks, and security upgrades in homes, businesses, and vehicles. You’ll be trained to unlock vehicles safely without damage using wedges, rods, air pumps, and bypass tools. You’ll cut and program transponder keys, key fobs, remote start systems, and push-to-start units using diagnostic equipment. You’ll extract broken keys from ignitions and doors, replace cylinders, and repair switch assemblies as needed. You’ll be trained in programming codes, setting user permissions, and integrating locks with other smart home ecosystems. You’ll document all services provided, verify vehicle ownership, and ensure all security protocols are followed at every job. You’ll work with tow companies, insurance providers, dealerships, and direct customers depending on the call source. You’ll maintain documentation for each site, including key logs, work orders, and digital access history when applicable.

Basic Qualifications:

• Take pride in securing spaces and giving people peace of mind, one lock at a time.
• Respond to emergency lockout situations with professionalism and minimal damage.
• Ensure replacement parts and materials meet durability and safety expectations.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication—clients often meet you in stressful situations.
• Work on automotive locks—cutting transponder keys, reprogramming FOBs, or unlocking doors.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Master Locksmith, Security Systems Consultant, or Shop Owner.
• Understands how to protect client confidentiality and handle sensitive security information responsibly.
• Pays strong attention to detail when working with small mechanisms, security pins, and precision tools.
• Able to install or service door closers, panic bars, master key systems, and high-security lock systems.
• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.
