Description:
We’re looking for an Online Course Assistant who’s equal parts organized, empathetic, and tech-comfortable — someone who can keep a virtual classroom running without breaking a sweat. You’ll be the go-to person for students needing help navigating the platform, accessing materials, or understanding what’s due and when. You’ll ensure all course elements run smoothly — from maintaining clean, updated modules to helping troubleshoot login or access issues. You’ll upload course content, maintain schedules, manage email communication, and offer light tech support when someone can’t find the “submit” button. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoy helping others learn, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re looking for someone who can stay on top of multiple tasks at once, troubleshoot basic issues, and offer encouragement when learners need a little boost. If you enjoy keeping things organized, love helping others succeed, and are familiar with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and LMS platforms, we’d love to have you on our team. Whether it’s organizing resources, answering FAQs, or ensuring the course flows smoothly from week to week, your work will have a big impact on student success. You don’t need to know every learning platform out there, but you’re quick to figure things out and resourceful when answers aren’t obvious.
Basic Qualifications:
- Assist in managing online quizzes, exams, or certifications by setting up rules and monitoring activity.
- Help enforce academic honesty by spotting suspicious patterns or duplicate answers.
- Monitor assignment submissions and send reminders to students who haven’t turned in their work.
- Support students by answering questions in course forums, emails, or chat within a reasonable timeframe.
- Create and maintain FAQs, guides, or walkthroughs to reduce repetitive support questions.
Preferred:
- Enjoys helping others stay organized, on track, and motivated through digital tools.
- Has experience as a student in online courses and understands the learner perspective.
- Able to provide technical support to students with login or access issues.
- Eager to assist instructors in managing content uploads, announcements, and assignments.
- Excited to grow into roles in digital education, support, or coordination.
