Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator who understands that precision isn’t optional — it’s the job. You don’t need experience, but you do need to be serious about learning a skill that takes time, focus, and care. You’ll be trained by day-shift machinists first, learning the machines, safety procedures, and how to run production step by step. You’ll learn how to prepare the machine for production: zeroing axes, setting work offsets, loading tool libraries, and confirming safety protocols step by step. You’ll run CNC equipment during off-hours, with support nearby but not always right next to you — and that trust means something here. You’ll be taught how to monitor feed rates, recognize the sound of a happy spindle, and stop production the moment something feels wrong. You’ll be expected to monitor not just part quality, but machine behavior — temperature drifts, spindle load spikes, tool chatter — and react with calm precision. You’ll be responsible for first-part inspection, documenting dimensions, and flagging anything out of spec before it becomes scrap. You’ll be trained to understand chip behavior, how to avoid work hardening, and when to stop, adjust, and recalibrate before making it worse.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ultimately, ensure precision parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely—supporting the backbone of modern manufacturing.
• Assist with machine changeovers or setups for different part runs, minimizing downtime between jobs.
• Monitor the machining process—checking for tool wear, part defects, and machine accuracy throughout each run.
• Support continuous improvement by offering ideas for tooling, process flow, or cycle time reductions.
• Use CNC software and machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mazak) to input programs and verify execution.

Preferred:

• Enjoys working with complex machines and improving efficiency on the shop floor.
• Understands how to load materials, set up tooling, and perform basic machine calibrations.
• Wants to grow into roles like CNC Programmer, Lead Operator, or Manufacturing Technician.
• Understands the importance of minimizing downtime and maintaining consistent output.
• Can work independently or with minimal supervision while meeting production targets.
