Description:

We’re looking for a Film Director with a strong artistic voice and the ability to bring unique, emotionally grounded stories to life — someone who can see the invisible structure behind every frame and elevate it with vision and soul. You’ll be responsible for interpreting scripts, shaping narrative arcs, and ensuring emotional clarity in every scene. From the first read to the final cut, you’ll shape the tone, rhythm, and depth of each story with precision and heart. We expect you to direct talent with sensitivity and clarity, drawing out performances that feel raw, layered, and alive. You’ll design scenes with a sharp eye for blocking, movement, and camera language that enhances the emotional core of each moment. We’re looking for a director who brings their own cinematic language — whether poetic, grounded, stylized, or experimental. You’ll be involved in casting, location scouting, shot listing, and building a cohesive creative team around the project. You’ll collaborate across departments to balance ambition with feasibility, ensuring each team member feels guided and valued. Post-production will include close work with editors and sound designers to ensure that pacing, tone, and structure stay aligned with your vision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Lead the creative direction of the film, making decisions on tone, pacing, casting, and style.
• Create an environment where creativity thrives and every crew member feels valued.
• Provide final approval on the film’s pacing, tone, soundtrack, and overall feel.
• Advocate for your vision while respecting the collaborative nature of filmmaking.
• Oversee rehearsals, blocking, and on-set dynamics to ensure a smooth production flow.

Preferred:

• Proficient in planning shot lists, blocking scenes, and collaborating on camera movement, lighting, and composition.
• Familiar with working under budget constraints while maintaining creative integrity.
• Capable of giving detailed creative notes to editors, composers, and colorists during post.
• Open to directing both live-action and hybrid/multimedia content depending on the project.
• Comfortable pitching concepts, securing funding, or working within client or studio guidelines.
