Description:

We’re hiring a diligent Game Tester to join our team and help ensure our games meet the highest quality standards before release. You’ll be responsible for testing new games across various devices and platforms, identifying issues, and ensuring a smooth gameplay experience. You’ll play through levels, story modes, multiplayer features, and other in-game elements to find bugs, crashes, and performance issues. You’ll work closely with the development team to report issues, prioritize them, and track fixes through to completion. You’ll verify that all game mechanics are functional, ensuring there are no issues with controls, progression, or in-game interactions. You’ll provide feedback on gameplay mechanics, level design, and player progression to help enhance the gaming experience. You’ll help test new features, patches, and updates, ensuring all changes work properly and do not cause new issues. You’ll identify and track issues related to crashes, freezes, and other serious bugs that disrupt gameplay.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ultimately, help ship high-quality games by ensuring they work, feel good, and don’t crash right before the final boss.
• Help verify that trophies, achievements, and in-game purchases trigger correctly and match documentation.
• Document issues clearly using bug tracking systems like Jira or TestRail, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels.
• Keep organized testing documentation—logs, test plans, and reports—so teams can reference findings quickly and efficiently.
• Play pre-release versions of games across platforms (PC, console, mobile) to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies in gameplay, graphics, and performance.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to game balance, logic errors, and user experience issues.
• Comfortable with alpha, beta, or pre-release versions that may be unstable.
• Able to meet deadlines, especially when working with live or launch-critical builds.
• Able to play for long periods with focus and provide constructive feedback.
• Familiar with tools like Jira, TestRail, or internal bug tracking systems is a plus.

You’ll participate in user acceptance testing, ensuring the game’s final product aligns with the expectations of its target audience. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, gaming technologies, and testing best practices to continuously improve the testing process. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home while contributing to the development of top-tier games.
