Description:

We’re hiring a Baker Trainee to join our high-volume production bakery — perfect for someone who’s punctual, process-focused, and ready to learn how large-scale baking works behind the scenes. You’ll assist in preparing muffins, scones, cookies, and breads for the daily pastry case, learning how to work with small batches and seasonal ingredients. You’ll assist in mixing, folding, and resting doughs for baguettes, sourdough, sandwich loaves, and specialty breads. You’ll be trained to operate machinery like conveyor ovens, dough dividers, and automated proofers safely and efficiently. You’ll help monitor baking times and temperatures, rotating trays and adjusting settings under supervision. You’ll rotate between mixing, shaping, loading, baking, and packaging stations as part of a coordinated production team. You’ll learn how to label products correctly, note allergens, and pack items with full transparency for customer confidence. You’ll receive guidance on overnight pacing — how to stay focused and productive through long, quiet hours. You’ll be taught how to complete production reports, log batch numbers, and track product movement through the facility.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep cool under pressure when juggling multiple timers, orders, or adjustments.
• Work early mornings or overnight shifts to ensure goods are ready for opening hours.
• Decorate finished goods with glazes, icings, or toppings depending on style and customer preferences.
• Adapt recipes or batch sizes based on customer orders, inventory levels, or seasonal trends.
• Coordinate with team members to divide tasks and keep the workflow smooth during busy hours.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Head Baker, Pastry Chef, or Bakery Manager.
• Enjoys creating baked goods that bring joy, comfort, and satisfaction to others.
• Willing to assist with early morning or overnight baking shifts depending on production schedules.
• Team-oriented and able to collaborate with pastry chefs, decorators, or kitchen staff.
• Open to learning seasonal items, specialty recipes, or new techniques as part of professional growth.
