Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who turns desserts into works of art — someone who combines precision, patience, and creativity to make every cake, tart, and pastry visually unforgettable. You’ll be responsible for decorating a wide variety of baked goods, from birthday cakes and wedding tiers to seasonal pastries and signature desserts. You’ll work with delicate techniques like hand-painted florals, gold leaf application, sugar sculpting, and advanced fondant modeling. You’ll apply consistent piping, frosting, garnishing, and finishing techniques across large batches without losing finesse. You’ll collaborate with the baking team to ensure timing aligns — so each item is decorated fresh and ready for delivery or pickup. You’ll manage timelines carefully, working backward from delivery or pickup deadlines to build in drying time, layering, and finishing touches. You’ll also prep decorative elements ahead of time, including handmade sugar flowers, custom monograms, and molded accents. You’ll photograph your finished work and help showcase it on our social media or website portfolio. You’ll help clean and sanitize your station and equipment daily, keeping everything food-safe and orderly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay current on trends in pastry art, color palettes, and themed styling.
• Photograph finished products for portfolio, social media, or marketing use.
• Handle delicate materials like sugar flowers or sculpted chocolate with care and precision.
• Suggest creative ideas for new pastries or display items to keep offerings visually exciting.
• Manage decorating timelines to ensure all orders are completed on schedule and ready for pickup or service.

Preferred:

• Values precision, patience, and creativity in food presentation.
• Can work under time pressure during peak seasons or special event weekends.
• Knows how to handle delicate decorations, temperature-sensitive ingredients, and storage requirements.
• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
