Description:

We’re hiring a Pastry Decorator who treats every dessert as a canvas — someone with artistic flair, attention to detail, and a deep love for crafting sweets that wow on sight. You’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other specialty pastries with consistency, elegance, and creativity. You’ll use piping bags, fondant tools, edible paints, and sculpting techniques to bring each design to life. You’ll sketch ideas, choose color palettes, and plan structural components to ensure your designs are both stunning and stable. We expect you to stay calm under pressure, organized during peak hours, and focused on both beauty and speed. You’ll manage timelines carefully, working backward from delivery or pickup deadlines to build in drying time, layering, and finishing touches. You’ll also prep decorative elements ahead of time, including handmade sugar flowers, custom monograms, and molded accents. You’ll photograph your finished work and help showcase it on our social media or website portfolio. You’ll also guide clients on what’s possible (and what’s not), balancing creative ambition with practical execution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage decorating timelines to ensure all orders are completed on schedule and ready for pickup or service.
• Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.
• Repair minor flaws or damages on baked goods quickly and cleanly when needed.
• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries with precision, creativity, and consistency.
• Take and review customer orders, confirming design expectations and any dietary restrictions.

Preferred:

• Open to feedback and enthusiastic about continuously improving decoration skills.
• Can work under time pressure during peak seasons or special event weekends.
• Capable of communicating with customers or team members to clarify design expectations.
• Values precision, patience, and creativity in food presentation.
• Able to follow design requests or references while adding personal artistic flair when needed.
