Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee for our smart production floor — where automation, precision, and continuous improvement work hand in hand. You don’t need experience yet, but you do need the mindset of someone who wants to grow in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You’ll be trained by day-shift machinists first, learning the machines, safety procedures, and how to run production step by step. You’ll be shown how to load raw material, align fixtures, and use proper torque — because the foundation is everything in machining. You’ll be trained to understand interface logic, alarms, real-time status readouts, and what to do when something blinks red instead of green. You’ll be taught how to monitor feed rates, recognize the sound of a happy spindle, and stop production the moment something feels wrong. You’ll assist in preparing tools, changing inserts, cleaning chips, and keeping the work area safe, tidy, and ready for production. You’ll be responsible for first-part inspection, documenting dimensions, and flagging anything out of spec before it becomes scrap. You’ll measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and double-check your numbers before moving forward.

Basic Qualifications:

• Load raw materials into machines, install tooling, and run test cycles to ensure machines are properly calibrated before full production.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, or changing coolant to keep machines in proper working condition.
• Troubleshoot basic errors like tool breakage, alarm codes, or material feed issues and report complex problems to supervisors or maintenance staff.
• Identify and flag non-conforming parts for rework or scrap, following proper procedures and documentation protocols.
• Stay current with updates in CNC technology, machining techniques, and material handling procedures through ongoing learning.

Preferred:

• Organized in managing job orders, material inventory, and scrap tracking.
• Thrives in hands-on, production-oriented environments with clear goals and teamwork.
• Familiar with reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
• Understands how to load materials, set up tooling, and perform basic machine calibrations.
• Knows how to enter or modify G-code and understands CNC programming basics.
