Description:

We’re hiring a Junior Backend Developer to help design, build, and maintain the server-side of our web applications. You’ll collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain server-side components, APIs, and services. You’ll write clean, reusable code using backend technologies like Node. You’ll write clean, maintainable code using programming languages like Node. js, Python, or Java, ensuring reliability and performance. You’ll collaborate with database administrators to maintain and optimize database systems for fast and efficient data access. You’ll work with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to deploy applications and scale infrastructure as needed. You’ll gain experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure to deploy and manage applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement backend solutions that align with business goals and user needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs in backend services, logging issues and applying patches.
• Stay up to date with new backend tools, frameworks, and best practices to sharpen your skills over time.
• Test endpoints using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or built-in unit/integration tests to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Help manage and query relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases with care for performance and accuracy.
• Contribute to database migrations, schema updates, and data seeding for staging and production environments.

Preferred:

• Can write clean, readable, and reusable code with comments and basic documentation.
• Wants to grow into roles like Backend Engineer, API Developer, or Fullstack Developer.
• Understands the concept of middleware, request/response lifecycle, and HTTP status codes.
• Background or strong interest in computer science, backend development, or cloud infrastructure.
• Interested in learning unit testing, integration testing, and API validation tools.
