Description:

We’re hiring a Dishwasher to support our catering operations — perfect for someone who thrives behind the scenes, adapts quickly, and keeps things running clean in dynamic event environments. You’ll wash and sanitize dishes, trays, glassware, and cookware coming from the restaurant, room service, and banquet events. You’ll ensure every item is sanitized, dried, and restocked to the appropriate station for use during busy service hours. You’ll wash plates, glasses, flatware, and serving equipment during and after events, keeping everything organized in real time. You’ll help empty and sanitize trash bins, recycling, and compost stations as part of end-of-day procedures. You’ll wash down prep areas, grill parts, slicers, and utensils that require extra attention after heavy use. You’ll follow safety and sanitation standards even in improvised or limited-space setups. You’ll be trained in food safety, chemical handling, and hygiene practices according to local health codes. You’ll work a predictable schedule with consistent hours, including weekday lunch rush and occasional evening service.

Basic Qualifications:

• Follow proper sanitation procedures and temperature guidelines to ensure food safety compliance.
• Use protective gloves and follow safety practices when handling chemicals or hot equipment.
• Scrape food waste, rinse items, and load dish racks efficiently without breakage.
• Maintain a clean uniform and show up ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost regularly to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Preferred:

• Understands the importance of teamwork and communication in keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
• Familiar with operating commercial dishwashing machines, including loading, unloading, and proper rack usage.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy racks, and bend frequently throughout shifts.
• Able to hand-wash delicate or large items such as pans, knives, and glassware when required.
• Background or interest in food service, kitchen operations, or hospitality support.

You’ll help track inventory of soaps, sanitizer, gloves, and other cleaning supplies as part of the sanitation team. You’ll support trash disposal, food waste separation, and linen collection in coordination with housekeeping and kitchen staff. You’ll support deep cleaning tasks weekly, including drains, hoods, and storage areas. You’ll rotate between on-site dishwashing, packing, setup, and final cleanup depending on the event schedule. You’ll receive clear checklists and support from the catering captain or kitchen supervisor at each job site. You’ll rotate between tasks to avoid burnout and maintain energy through repetitive work. You’ll rotate shifts that may include early breakfast prep, weekend events, or evening banquets.
