Description:

We’re welcoming aspiring musicians and composers to join us as trainees and learn how to turn raw musical ideas into polished productions. You’ll assist in composing melodies, background scores, sound cues, and short audio loops for digital content, ads, or video games. We’ll help you understand the basics of musical structure, mood building, and thematic development. You’ll learn to arrange layers, write simple melodies, and experiment with harmonies and textures. You’ll work on adapting musical cues to support tension, joy, surprise, or reflection — all without using words. You’ll gain hands-on experience with DAWs like Logic Pro, FL Studio, or Ableton, depending on your preferences. You’ll be surrounded by other creatives — editors, illustrators, writers — and your sound will complete their visions. You’ll also get to practice editing, cutting, and mastering audio for clarity and emotional effect. You’ll also help remix existing tracks, enhance emotional resonance, or add subtle cues that elevate a scene.

Basic Qualifications:

• Compose original music tailored to various formats—film, games, ads, or live performances.
• Perform live when needed or support rehearsals and sound checks for shows.
• Play instruments or conduct live sessions to bring your compositions to life.
• Translate abstract direction (“make it feel nostalgic but hopeful”) into musical ideas.
• Maintain an organized library of samples, drafts, and project files for future use.

Preferred:

• Enjoys experimenting with harmony, melody, and rhythm to shape unique musical identities.
• Comfortable creating loopable background scores or one-off highlight cues as needed.
• Comfortable arranging music for solo, ensemble, or orchestral formats depending on project scope.
• Open to working across genres — from classical and ambient to pop, hip-hop, or electronic.
• Can adapt music to different platforms — social media reels, trailers, podcasts, mobile games, or corporate branding.
