Description:
We’re looking for a Dental Assistant who’s equal parts compassionate caregiver and clinical rockstar. You’ll be the calm in the storm when someone walks in panicking about their first root canal. You’ll prep rooms, set up trays, and anticipate the dentist’s needs like a well-rehearsed teammate. You know how to handle suction, X-rays, and charting — and still have time for a reassuring word. You’ll know what’s needed before anyone has to ask, because your intuition is practically psychic. You know when to speak, when to listen, and when to reassure a nervous patient with just a look. You’re the kind of person who wipes a counter *before* anyone notices it’s dirty. You’ll sanitize, stock, and straighten like someone who finds peace in order. You’ll update charts, track inventory, and ensure every detail is in place behind the scenes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Disinfect and organize dental tools, equipment, and operatories in accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols.
- Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and office staff as a collaborative team focused on delivering excellent care.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, taking impressions, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Maintain patient records by recording treatment information, vitals, and updates accurately in the dental practice software.
- Welcome patients, confirm appointment details, and help ease anxiety by creating a calm, friendly environment in the clinic.
Preferred:
- Values cleanliness, reliability, and clear communication in healthcare settings.
- Can calmly manage situations involving anxious patients, children, or medical emergencies.
- Understands how to assist with impressions, temporary crowns, and basic lab work.
- Background or training in dental assisting, health sciences, or a certified program.
- Pays close attention to detail when assisting with procedures and documenting outcomes.
Benefits:
- Your feedback is valued — from workflow tweaks to tools that help things run smoother.
- We provide full training, onboarding, and mentorship — but your empathy and precision make the biggest impact.
- Flexible shifts or consistent hours depending on clinic needs — work/life balance is respected here.
- Daily rituals include pre-briefs, schedule walk-throughs, and sometimes a surprise coffee or snack break from the team.
- You’ll assist with X-rays, sterilization, impressions, cleanings, and chairside procedures.
You’ll monitor supplies and reorder before anyone needs to ask — because you think two steps ahead. You’ll track inventory, manage orders, and make sure no one’s ever scrambling for gloves or gauze. You’ll handle suction, impressions, and small talk like a multitasking champion. You’ll show up with consistency, attention, and quiet excellence, day after day. You’re organized, attentive, and always looking for ways to improve the patient experience. Your role may be behind the scenes, but the impact you make is front and center. You’ll bring skill, heart, and hustle — and we’ll bring mentorship, high-fives, and snacks in the breakroom. If you believe dentistry is just as much about people as it is about procedures — we’re ready to meet you.
