Description:

We’re hiring a Cashier who knows how to make people feel welcome — someone who brings a friendly smile, clear communication, and great energy to every shift. You’ll receive full training on how to use the register, scan items, process payments, and handle simple returns. You’ll greet shoppers, answer quick questions, and direct them to team members or departments when needed. You’ll greet customers warmly, answer basic questions, and help them complete their purchases with ease. You’ll assist with bagging items, answering product questions, and helping direct customers if they need support in other departments. You’ll keep your area clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and any promotional materials. You’ll be part of a supportive team where asking questions is encouraged and helping each other is part of the daily routine. You’ll be part of a team that values communication, teamwork, and keeping lines moving efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You’ll offer loyalty programs or promotions in a natural, helpful way — never robotic or pushy.

Basic Qualifications:

• Greet customers warmly and process purchases quickly and accurately at the register.
• Stay calm and polite when customers are frustrated, even if it’s not your fault.
• Answer questions about products, promotions, or return policies when asked.
• Promote loyalty programs, discounts, or upsells when appropriate without being pushy.
• Bag items neatly and efficiently while being mindful of product weight and safety.

Preferred:

• Able to handle cash, credit/debit transactions, mobile payments, and provide accurate change.
• Values honesty, reliability, and consistency in every transaction.
• Understands the importance of cleanliness, appearance, and station organization.
• Willing to help with restocking near registers, merchandising impulse buys, or monitoring front-end cleanliness.
• Enjoys interacting with people and helping them leave with a positive experience.
