Description:
We’re hiring a Web Designer Trainee who wants to learn how design solves problems, not just looks good — no experience required, just visual awareness, digital curiosity, and a desire to grow. You’ll help transform brand guidelines into intuitive, engaging, and consistent web experiences. We’ll teach you how to apply colors, typography, and imagery in ways that strengthen identity and boost usability. You’ll help translate wireframes into high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch. Expect to participate in brainstorming sessions where you’ll sketch out ideas before moving to digital tools like Figma or Adobe XD. You’ll help design CTAs, headers, footers, and other key UI sections that drive engagement and conversions. We’ll guide you in using design systems, UI kits, and real-world constraints to stay consistent and scalable. You’ll assist in organizing design files, preparing assets, and contributing to brand consistency across web pages. You’ll also support the creation of visual assets, icons, and style elements for consistent brand presentation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Use prototypes to demonstrate interactions, transitions, and user flow.
- Create and maintain design documentation so others can understand and build on your work.
- Work closely with copywriters, marketers, and product teams to align on messaging and goals.
- Refine designs based on feedback, testing, or performance data.
- Test your designs with real users or internal reviews to uncover usability issues.
Preferred:
- Thrives in collaborative, feedback-driven environments with a blend of creativity and precision.
- Open to conducting basic usability tests or A/B testing to validate design effectiveness.
- Pays strong attention to alignment, consistency, and visual rhythm in all components.
- Understands how to align web design with SEO, conversion goals, or marketing funnels.
- Can contribute to or maintain a design system with reusable components and UI patterns.
Benefits:
- See your work featured on high-traffic pages and actual campaigns.
- Build a stunning portfolio while building real products — win-win.
- Freedom to explore bold ideas — we love creativity that pushes boundaries.
- No corporate fluff — just good briefs, clear feedback, and a lot of emojis.
- Flexible hours — we care about stunning designs, not clock-ins.
We’ll teach you how to design in systems, using components, grids, and scalable patterns. You’ll participate in feedback loops, design reviews, and client revisions to sharpen your decision-making skills. This role is great for someone who’s both visual and logical — and excited to see their work live online. You’ll practice adapting your designs for different audiences — from portfolio sites to e-commerce platforms. You’ll leave with a hands-on portfolio and a real understanding of how websites are designed in the real world. By the end of your traineeship, you’ll be confident taking a project from idea to final, polished screen. You’ll leave with a strong portfolio, better instincts, and an understanding of what makes a website work — not just look nice. If you’re ready to bring creativity into structure — and structure into flow — we’re ready to design this journey with you.
