Description:
We’re hiring a Flight Dispatcher who thrives under pressure, thinks two steps ahead, and understands that every minute matters in the air and on the ground. You’ll be the unseen force coordinating aircraft movements, weather conditions, and crew schedules with precision and speed. Before the engines start, your decisions shape the flight: route, fuel, alternates, and weather. You’ll work alongside pilots to ensure every departure is safe, legal, and optimized for performance. When conditions change, you’ll adapt fast — rerouting, recalculating, and communicating without hesitation. You’ll monitor en route progress, alert crews to hazards, and adjust plans in real-time when the unexpected happens. You’ll juggle multiple flights at once, staying cool even when everything changes in seconds. No shift is ever “quiet,” and that’s exactly how you like it — always alert, always thinking ahead. You’ll monitor each flight as it happens, like a conductor listening to every note in a moving symphony. You’ll communicate clearly with pilots, crew, air traffic control, and operations teams — no guesswork, no delay.
Basic Qualifications:
- Plan and prepare detailed flight plans by analyzing weather conditions, NOTAMs, airspace restrictions, fuel requirements, aircraft performance, and routing options.
- Ensure timely coordination of special flights such as charter, medical evacuation, or cargo missions when scheduled.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both flight crews and non-technical teams to align on updates and needs.
- Support recovery planning during irregular ops—finding alternate routings, adjusting connections, and minimizing disruption impact.
- Use dispatch software and tools (e.g., Lido, Sabre, Skybook, or Jeppesen) to generate flight plans, load sheets, and pre-departure briefing packages.
Preferred:
- Familiar with airport operations, runway configurations, and aircraft performance basics.
- Able to prioritize and escalate issues that may impact flight safety or legality.
- Thrives in structured, mission-critical environments where every second counts.
- Comfortable coordinating with pilots, air traffic control, and ground operations teams.
- Interested in improving dispatch efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and supporting punctual departures.
Benefits:
- Work in a high-responsibility role where your decisions help aircraft take off, land, and reroute safely.
- Your decisions will be backed by data, policies, and experienced colleagues — not guesswork.
- Shift-based schedule — day, night, and rotating coverage options to match your rhythm and operational needs.
- You’ll have 24/7 access to support teams — you're never alone during a difficult call.
- We provide access to live systems, weather data, NOTAMs, flight plans, and training — but your judgment and calm under pressure are key.
You’ll keep logs and documentation as sharp and clean as your communication — accurate, fast, and audit-ready. You’ll use advanced flight planning tools, but your best assets will always be instinct, training, and sound judgment. Your communication will be fast, factual, and unshakably clear, even at 3 a. Every flight you touch becomes more than a plan — it becomes a promise of safe passage. You’ll use the latest dispatch software but rely just as much on your instincts and experience. You’ll embrace the pressure, knowing that your choices impact lives, timelines, and entire operations. If you think clearly under pressure, love aviation deeply, and want to guide flights with your mind — this is your place in the sky. This role isn’t glamorous — but for those who love aviation deeply, it’s as vital as the aircraft itself. If you think in maps, listen to the weather, and find peace in control — welcome to dispatch.
