Description:

We are seeking a Medical Registrar Intern who is motivated to gain structured administrative experience within a professional healthcare environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, helping them feel welcomed, informed, and guided through the registration process. You’ll assist with inputting new patient details into the system, verifying contact and insurance information with precision. You’ll learn how to keep patient records updated, from appointment history to medical notes, while protecting patient privacy at all times. You will help prepare patient files, ensuring that all documentation is complete, properly formatted, and stored according to policy. You’ll work at the front desk, welcoming patients and helping reduce stress by clearly explaining what to expect during their visit. You’ll be trained in using hospital information systems, coding basics, and internal workflows to ensure each case is logged correctly. You’ll be trained to use our healthcare software and shown how to double-check entries for accuracy and completeness. You’ll monitor waiting room activity and help keep delays managed through polite and efficient updates.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain registration, certifications, and ongoing training as required by regulatory bodies.
• Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Ensure that patient care aligns with current clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, or research activities when possible.
• Review investigation results daily and update management plans accordingly.

Preferred:

• Strong communication skills to explain medical conditions and treatment options to patients and families.
• Able to work efficiently during night shifts, on-call rotations, and high-pressure clinical environments.
• Familiar with writing accurate patient notes, discharge summaries, and referral letters.
• Enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous learning in dynamic clinical settings.
• Can manage complex cases, escalate appropriately, and contribute to morbidity/mortality reviews.
