Description:

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Discord Server Designer to help us build a thriving, engaged online community. You’ll be responsible for structuring and organizing our Discord server, ensuring it’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing. You’ll customize roles, permissions, and categories to match the needs of different user groups within the server. You’ll create a design that not only looks good but promotes interaction, keeping members engaged and involved. You’ll ensure that each server is organized, clean, and functional while still reflecting the brand’s personality and tone. Your creativity will be key in crafting unique visual elements that help the server stand out and reflect our brand’s personality. You’ll incorporate bots and automations to streamline tasks, enhance interaction, and improve member management. You’ll help automate repetitive tasks with bots and integrations, improving the overall flow and ease of server management. You’ll make sure the server is secure by setting up appropriate permissions and moderating features to keep the space safe and welcoming.

Basic Qualifications:

• Craft server aesthetics—from emojis and banners to role colors and channel icons—that match the brand or community vibe.
• Ensure moderation systems are non-intrusive but effective—keep toxic behavior in check without over-policing.
• Create intuitive channel layouts, category hierarchies, and naming conventions to guide users and reduce clutter.
• Collaborate with community managers, moderators, or content creators to ensure the server serves its purpose—whether it’s social, support, education, or sales.
• Optimize for mobile and desktop users alike—test layout visibility and UX across devices.

Preferred:

• Can advise on engagement systems like XP, badges, or loyalty rewards.
• Can balance fun and function by integrating game nights, feedback systems, or stage channels.
• Able to optimize servers for different use cases — e.g. gaming, education, NFT, or creator communities.
• Wants to build Discord communities that are fun, functional, and future-proof.
• Familiar with using third-party integrations like Zapier, Tally forms, or webhook systems.
