Description:

We’re hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician who knows that accuracy isn’t optional — it’s everything. You will be introduced to standardized laboratory protocols and trained to follow them with discipline and consistency. You’ll be trained in how to handle biological samples with care, label them correctly, and avoid the small mistakes that can make a big difference. You will assist in daily equipment checks, basic calibrations, and maintaining environmental conditions required for certified diagnostic operations. You’ll be trained to understand how lab results influence diagnoses, and why getting it right — even behind the scenes — changes everything. When something doesn’t look right, you won’t guess — you’ll recheck, recalibrate, and confirm before moving forward. You’ll observe proper safety protocols, understand why PPE matters, and build habits that will serve you in every lab from here on out. You’ll stay calm under pressure — whether it’s an urgent STAT order or a full rack of samples waiting on your bench. You will be exposed to hematology, microbiology, immunoassay, and biochemistry benches — not for speed, but for process understanding. Documentation will be a core part of your duties — not just recording results, but understanding how documentation builds audit trails.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Respect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and institutional privacy policies when accessing or transmitting sensitive data.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment—properly disposing of waste and maintaining sterile workstations.
  • Handle emergency or STAT samples with urgency, prioritizing workflow to meet clinical needs in time-sensitive situations.
  • Keep current with new testing methods, laboratory techniques, and industry standards through continued education or training.
  • Support training of new lab staff or interns by demonstrating procedures and reviewing safety protocols when required.

Preferred:

  • Capable of handling time-sensitive and high-volume workloads with precision.
  • Open to continuous training and staying updated with new testing methods and technologies.
  • Can assist in quality control checks and recognize deviations that may affect results.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g. CLIA, HIPAA).
  • Comfortable communicating with medical staff regarding specimen status or unusual findings.

Benefits:

  • Every correct result, flagged anomaly, or clean run you contribute helps save lives quietly but powerfully.
  • We believe lab work is essential, not invisible — and we treat our technicians like the professionals they are.
  • You’ll work in a calm, respectful setting where science and care meet.
  • We celebrate zero-error shifts, fast but thorough turnaround times, and your ability to spot patterns others might miss.
  • You’ll collaborate with doctors, pathologists, nurses, and lab peers — your work is part of a wider care chain.

You’ll train not just your hands, but your eyes — to spot inconsistencies, notice contamination risks, and double-check every ID number. You’ll support preparation of reagents, cleaning of equipment, and maintenance of lab cleanliness to minimize contamination risk. You’ll be part of a team that supports one another, trains together, and shows up when it matters. You’ll have moments of routine, but also those small “a-ha” insights when something finally clicks — and we’ll celebrate that with you. You won’t just run tests — you’ll ensure the integrity of every result that leaves your workstation. You may start by shadowing, assisting, and checking boxes — but with time, you’ll own your space and know you earned it. If you’re ready to learn with heart, stay humble, and build something meaningful from the ground up — we’d love to be your first team. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
