Description:

We’re hiring an Illustrator Trainee who’s passionate about turning abstract ideas into clear, expressive visuals — no prior experience needed, just creativity, patience, and a love for drawing. You’ll assist in producing illustrations for campaigns, social media, product visuals, and branded content. We’ll teach you how to interpret creative briefs, extract visual themes, and generate concepts that connect emotionally. You’ll support senior illustrators and art directors by preparing rough sketches, variations, and final assets. Expect to learn how to simplify complex ideas visually while keeping your work lively, relatable, and well-balanced. You’ll gain experience with both digital and hand-drawn workflows depending on your tools and preferred medium. You’ll assist in creating thumbnails, sketches, and polished pieces while practicing clean file structure and layer organization. You’ll take part in feedback sessions that focus on color harmony, storytelling strength, and message clarity. You’ll also assist in preparing artwork for handoff — including file naming, sizing, and layer organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure all files are properly organized, layered, and formatted for developers or printers.
• Translate abstract or technical ideas into visuals that make people feel or understand something instantly.
• Be proud of your craft—your illustrations are often the first thing people notice.
• Participate in creative reviews, brainstorms, and storyboarding when illustrations are part of a larger campaign.
• Illustrate for a wide range of content: books, marketing campaigns, apps, packaging, or editorial pieces.

Preferred:

• Comfortable illustrating for different formats such as posters, packaging, websites, or animation assets.
• Organized with version control, layer structure, and naming conventions in illustration files.
• Can work with art directors, designers, and marketing teams to align visuals with campaign goals.
• Willing to adapt style between minimalist, detailed, flat, textured, or hand-drawn aesthetics.
• Stays updated on illustration trends, social media aesthetics, and creative industry standards.
