Description:
We’re looking for an Online Community Support specialist who knows that behind every username is a real person — and you treat them that way. You’ll be the friendly, helpful presence in our forums, social groups, and community platforms — answering questions, guiding new members, resolving issues, and sparking meaningful conversations. You’ll monitor discussions, jump in where needed, and make sure the tone of the space stays respectful, inclusive, and on-brand. You’ll help manage community guidelines, encourage respectful engagement, and step in when conversations need redirection or support. You’ll work closely with marketing, support, and product teams to surface feedback, flag recurring issues, and share insights on what people are loving (or not). Whether it’s responding to a technical question, managing a lively discussion, or diffusing a tense moment, you’ll do it with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
Basic Qualifications:
- Track common questions or feedback and turn them into FAQs, guides, or helpful posts to reduce repetition.
- Collect feedback and ideas from community members and surface them internally to the product or leadership team.
- Adapt tone and pace depending on the platform—what works in Discord might not fit a public forum.
- Celebrate user achievements, milestones, or contributions—help build a culture of recognition and belonging.
- Keep tabs on community sentiment—what people love, what annoys them, what they’re confused about.
Preferred:
- Enjoys encouraging discussions, responding to feedback, and helping members feel heard.
- Can communicate with users respectfully, even in tense or critical situations.
- Can help onboard new members, share announcements, and guide discussions.
- Open to collaborating with marketing, product, and support teams on community campaigns.
- Pays attention to recurring questions and helps improve FAQs or knowledge bases.
Benefits:
- Your feedback improves how we talk, write, and care — you have a seat at the table.
- Work with marketing, support, and product — community sits at the center.
- You’ll make the internet feel a little warmer — one comment at a time.
- You’ll help real people feel heard, supported, and part of something.
- Get early access to updates so you’re never out of the loop.
You know how to de-escalate tense situations, give thoughtful replies, and maintain a calm, professional voice — even when things get noisy. Familiarity with platforms like Discord, Slack, Circle, Facebook Groups, or community tools like Discourse is a plus, but we’re more interested in your people skills and online presence than your platform resume. You’re a clear communicator, a great listener, and comfortable working remotely with minimal oversight. If you’ve ever made someone feel welcome in a space where they weren’t sure they belonged, this role is for you. ” — this job might feel like second nature. Let’s grow a community where people feel seen, safe, and inspired to stay.
