Description:

We’re hiring a Cleaner Trainee to support hygiene and safety in a healthcare environment, where cleanliness directly impacts patient well-being. You’ll start by shadowing experienced cleaners to understand daily routines, cleaning zones, and the order of tasks. You’ll be taught how to properly use cleaning tools like mops, vacuums, squeegees, and dusters for different surfaces. You’ll be trained to notice the small details — from dust on lampshades to streaks on mirrors — that elevate a guest’s stay. You’ll help wipe down handrails, elevator buttons, escalator belts, and glass doors to remove smudges and germs. You’ll support floor care by sweeping, mopping, and spot-cleaning spills, making sure all areas are safe and dry. You’ll learn to follow a checklist to ensure no detail is missed — from light switches to door handles and windowsills. You’ll learn how to mop and sanitize floors using hospital-approved cleaning agents and specialized tools. You’ll wear safety gear and learn to place caution signs properly when working with wet floors or cleaning chemicals.

Basic Qualifications:

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, workspaces, and public areas according to daily schedules.
• Respect the privacy and property of those who use the spaces you clean.
• Record completed tasks when required for accountability or quality control.
• Take pride in the small details—clean windows, shiny floors, and fresh smells matter.
• Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste following health and safety regulations.

Preferred:

• Values cleanliness, reliability, and efficiency in everyday work.
• Understands how to use cleaning products safely, including proper dilution, storage, and labeling.
• Familiar with using basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and microfiber cloths.
• Organized with time management, ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned within the scheduled time.
• Able to follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure consistent quality and thoroughness.
