We’ll teach you the full process — from reading imaging orders and prepping rooms to positioning patients and reviewing results with radiologists. You’ll gain confidence using advanced imaging equipment while learning how to think like a medical professional. We’ll teach you how to read imaging requests, set exposure levels, and align equipment to capture the clearest views. Expect a blend of hands-on learning, detailed technical training, and compassionate patient interaction. You’ll help someone scared of a cancer scan feel heard, or someone recovering from a fall feel dignity instead of frustration. You’ll develop strong communication skills, because in smaller hospitals, everyone relies on each other more directly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate imaging for diagnosis.
• Operate X-ray, CT, or MRI equipment with precision and care to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Help lift or move patients who have limited mobility or are unconscious.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
• Take pride in being the unseen part of many diagnoses, helping doctors see what others can’t.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and radiation safety principles to capture high-quality images.
• Certified and licensed as a radiologic technologist, with training in X-ray imaging procedures.
• Capable of recognizing artifacts or errors and repeating scans when necessary to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Able to explain procedures to patients, position them correctly, and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Able to handle anxious, pediatric, elderly, or non-verbal patients with patience and professionalism.
