Description:

We’re looking for Firefighter Trainees — no prior experience needed, just courage, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. You’ll begin with physical training and basic drills — learning how to move in gear, follow orders, and stay calm under pressure. We’ll teach you how to use fire hoses, ladders, axes, and breathing apparatus safely and effectively. You’ll learn to move through flame and smoke, not with fear, but with focus and trust in your training. You’ll learn how to rescue victims, carry equipment, and work in heat, smoke, and uncertainty without hesitation. You’ll be taught the value of preparedness: checking gear, running drills, and taking every shift seriously. We’ll teach you how to use ladders, hoses, breathing gear, and rescue tools like they’re part of your body. You’ll build the mindset to stay focused in fear, calm in crisis, and strong when others feel helpless. You’ll experience moments of quiet before alarms, the rush of the call, and the clarity that comes when action begins.

Basic Qualifications:

• Perform fire hydrant inspections and maintain familiarity with local layouts.
• Inspect buildings for fire hazards and educate the public on fire prevention.
• Represent integrity, courage, and public service both on and off the job.
• Stay physically fit and mentally prepared for high-risk, unpredictable scenarios.
• Maintain fire trucks, gear, and breathing equipment to ensure they’re always mission-ready.

Preferred:

• Capable of safely navigating burning structures, confined spaces, and hazardous areas.
• Comfortable working closely with other emergency services like police and paramedics.
• Familiar with operating and maintaining fire trucks, pumps, and rescue equipment.
• Willing to represent the fire department with professionalism and integrity at all times.
• Prepared to support search and rescue operations, vehicle extractions, or medical emergencies.
