Description:

We’re hiring a Medical Registrar Trainee who’s ready to step into the administrative side of healthcare and support smooth patient flow in a clinical setting. You’ll be one of the first smiles patients see, greeting them with kindness and helping ease any nerves or confusion about their visit. You’ll assist with inputting new patient details into the system, verifying contact and insurance information with precision. You’ll be trained to enter medical information into electronic systems, ensuring every record is clear and compliant with policy. You’ll help answer phones, book consultations, and coordinate with doctors and nurses to manage daily schedules. You’ll work at the front desk, welcoming patients and helping reduce stress by clearly explaining what to expect during their visit. You will learn how to manage front desk responsibilities, including call handling, visitor flow, and responding to general inquiries. You’ll learn to navigate hospital systems and software, including booking platforms and electronic medical records (EMR). You’ll support our administrative team during peak hours, lending a hand wherever needed to keep things flowing smoothly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure that patient care aligns with current clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Handle emotionally sensitive situations such as end-of-life care or difficult diagnoses with professionalism.
• Participate in on-call rotations, handling admissions, consults, and urgent reviews after hours.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatments, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Maintain registration, certifications, and ongoing training as required by regulatory bodies.

Preferred:

• Background or specialization in internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or another hospital-based field.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments where patient outcomes are central.
• Comfortable participating in clinical audits, research activities, or quality improvement projects.
• Knowledge of clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based practices within their specialty area.
• Willing to teach, mentor, and provide feedback to medical students and junior staff.
