Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Security System Installer Trainee — someone who’s good with their hands, eager to learn, and ready to enter the world of smart protection. You’ll learn how to install, wire, and configure security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarms step by step. We’ll start you with the basics: how to use tools safely, run cable through walls, and follow installation diagrams. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. You’ll learn to set up motion sensors, door contacts, alarm panels, and video doorbells step by step. You’ll work side by side with experienced installers who will walk you through how alarm panels, sensors, and cameras work together. You’ll work in private homes, small offices, and large buildings — each with unique needs and layouts. You’ll learn how to think ahead, avoid mistakes, and double-check everything — because trust is built in the details. Each day will build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with your hands.

Basic Qualifications:

• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch or supervisors if delays or issues arise.
• Stay calm and patient with clients who may not be tech-savvy.
• Climb ladders, drill holes, and mount equipment neatly and safely.
• Work with team members or independently, depending on the job size.

Preferred:

• Willing to work with residential, commercial, or industrial clients depending on project needs.
• Pays close attention to detail to ensure all components are correctly positioned and functioning.
• Enjoys solving problems and working with both hardware and software tools.
• Willing to recommend system upgrades, coverage improvements, or routine maintenance practices.
• Can assist in training clients on emergency response procedures and system features.
