Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee — no prior experience required, just a serious attitude, steady hands, and the willingness to learn the right way from day one. You don’t need experience, but you do need to be serious about learning a skill that takes time, focus, and care. You’ll be trained by day-shift machinists first, learning the machines, safety procedures, and how to run production step by step. You’ll be shown how to load raw material, align fixtures, and use proper torque — because the foundation is everything in machining. You’ll monitor production closely — adjusting speeds, feeds, and tool paths to maintain accuracy and efficiency. You’ll be taught how to monitor feed rates, recognize the sound of a happy spindle, and stop production the moment something feels wrong. You’ll help inspect parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and surface roughness testers — because quality here isn’t visual, it’s measurable down to the micron. You’ll get comfortable navigating CNC control panels — not just pushing buttons, but understanding what each one does and why. You’ll learn why precision starts before the cycle runs — from coolant flow to machine warmup, from zero offsets to tool height settings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Support continuous improvement by offering ideas for tooling, process flow, or cycle time reductions.
  • Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, plastics, or composites depending on production needs.
  • Use CNC software and machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mazak) to input programs and verify execution.
  • Log production data, machine hours, and quality results in shop records or manufacturing systems for traceability.
  • Troubleshoot basic errors like tool breakage, alarm codes, or material feed issues and report complex problems to supervisors or maintenance staff.

Preferred:

  • Capable of maintaining clean, safe, and organized workstations.
  • Experience operating CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers in a production environment.
  • Able to follow job orders and production schedules with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with safety procedures in a machine shop environment, including use of PPE.
  • Willing to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace protocols strictly.

Benefits:

  • Supervisors who actually listen and help, not just bark orders.
  • Earn certifications on the job — and actually use them.
  • Your input matters — if something’s off, we fix it, not ignore it.
  • Get paid weekly (yes, really) — because bills don’t wait till the 30th.
  • No toxic culture, just solid people who know their craft.

You’ll troubleshoot minor issues on the fly, and escalate problems when precision or safety could be compromised. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists and programmers who respect the machines — but also know their limits. You’ll help maintain machines that require tight alignment, fine-tuned balancing, and daily checks to stay production-ready. You’ll take pride in doing things right the first time — and adjusting quickly when the job calls for it. You’ll discover that working nights isn’t just about peace and quiet — it’s about being reliable, alert, and taking pride in holding the line. You won’t just help make parts — you’ll learn how to make parts *right*, and understand what separates average from excellent. You’ll end this program not just with experience, but with respect — for the process, the tools, and the craft of high-performance machining. If you take pride in doing things carefully, learning things properly, and becoming someone others can count on — we’d be proud to train you. ” If you value quiet focus, technical skill, and the satisfaction of solo work done well — we’re ready to train you after dark.
