Description:

We’re hiring a Courier Trainee who’s reliable, punctual, and ready to learn how to deliver items safely, quickly, and with a professional attitude. You’ll begin by assisting with loading the van each morning, organizing deliveries by route and urgency. You’ll assist with picking up packages, checking addresses, and verifying delivery details before heading out. You’ll learn how to move quickly and respectfully through reception areas, elevators, and security checkpoints. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly with customers and dispatch — especially if there’s traffic, weather issues, or delivery complications. You’ll receive guidance on maintaining your vehicle — from pre-trip inspections to post-trip checks and cleanliness. You’ll practice efficient route planning, grouping deliveries together to minimize travel time and maximize results. You’ll communicate with dispatch in real time and notify them of successful deliveries or unexpected delays. You’ll learn to stay calm and solution-focused during delays, breakdowns, or changes in delivery timing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Communicate with dispatchers or clients about changes, delays, or delivery confirmations.
• Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with customers or recipients.
• Respect customers’ property and privacy while on-site for pickups or drop-offs.
• Prioritize urgent deliveries without compromising safety or quality.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS or local knowledge to avoid delays and traffic.

Preferred:

• Able to navigate apartment buildings, office complexes, or rural addresses confidently.
• Background or interest in logistics, transport, courier work, or gig delivery apps.
• Able to lift and carry parcels, food containers, or lightweight furniture as required.
• Enjoys being on the move, working outdoors, and managing tasks independently.
• Capable of handling cash-on-delivery payments, mobile transactions, or receipts when needed.
