We’re hiring a Baker Trainee to support our overnight bread production — ideal for someone who enjoys quiet work, early hours, and the satisfying rhythm of night baking. You’ll begin by learning how to work on the production line, helping prepare thousands of baked goods daily with consistency and speed. You’ll assist in mixing doughs, folding batters, and learning how different ingredients behave under heat and time. You’ll be trained to shape loaves, rolls, and boules with consistency, following production schedules and house recipes. You’ll rotate between tasks like mixing, baking, glazing, and plating — seeing the full process from start to finish. You’ll help load industrial deck ovens, rotate products, and time multiple bakes at once to avoid overbrowning or underbaking. You’ll learn how to operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and cooling racks safely and efficiently. You’ll assist in maintaining a clean, allergen-controlled workspace and logging batches to track consistency and safety. You’ll be part of testing new recipes, helping explore how natural binders and leaveners react in small-batch baking.

Basic Qualifications:

• Handle customer requests or complaints respectfully, especially in smaller bakery settings.
• Participate in menu planning or product development when new ideas are welcomed.
• Work early mornings or overnight shifts to ensure goods are ready for opening hours.
• Adapt recipes or batch sizes based on customer orders, inventory levels, or seasonal trends.
• Be prepared to lift heavy bags of ingredients and stand for long periods during production.

Preferred:

• Willing to assist with early morning or overnight baking shifts depending on production schedules.
• Open to learning seasonal items, specialty recipes, or new techniques as part of professional growth.
• Able to follow recipes precisely, measure ingredients accurately, and adjust batch sizes as needed.
• Experience preparing baked goods such as breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, or pies in a commercial or artisanal setting.
• Organized with keeping workstations tidy, documenting production logs, and minimizing waste.
