Description:
We’re hiring a Flight Dispatcher — the one who charts the course, watches the skies, and keeps flights safe from the ground up. You’ll be the quiet mastermind behind the cockpit — planning, coordinating, and adjusting every detail of the flight path. Each plan you prepare is a legal document and a safety commitment — and you treat it with the respect it deserves. You’ll interpret complex data — wind speeds, runway conditions, turbulence forecasts — and translate it into confident plans. From takeoff performance to fuel burn and alternate airports, every number you touch matters. You’ll monitor en route progress, alert crews to hazards, and adjust plans in real-time when the unexpected happens. You’ll juggle multiple flights at once, staying cool even when everything changes in seconds. You’ll brief pilots, sync with ATC, and coordinate with crew operations — making complex logistics look effortless. You’ll know every regulation by heart and apply them with accuracy and responsibility. ” You’ll handle diversions, delays, and tight turnarounds like a chess master sees moves in advance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in 24/7 operations centers.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both flight crews and non-technical teams to align on updates and needs.
- Stay informed about geopolitical risks, NOTAM updates, runway closures, and international aviation alerts.
- Coordinate with air traffic control, ground operations, and airport personnel to manage timely departures and arrivals.
- Remain calm, focused, and decisive in high-pressure situations—your decisions directly affect the safety and success of every flight.
Preferred:
- Willing to assist with delay management, crew coordination, and fleet status updates.
- Open to training on airline-specific tools, protocols, and communication systems.
- Works well as part of an operations control center (OCC) team or similar environment.
- Knowledge of flight planning procedures, airspace restrictions, and weather interpretation.
- Able to calculate fuel requirements, alternate routes, and payload limitations accurately.
Benefits:
- We provide access to live systems, weather data, NOTAMs, flight plans, and training — but your judgment and calm under pressure are key.
- Daily rituals include shift handovers, weather briefs, and the occasional celebration when a reroute saves the day.
- We provide ongoing certification, simulator training, and compliance updates — safety is a shared priority.
- You’ll be the person behind the scenes who ensures flights run smoothly, even when the skies don’t.
- You’ll work in a structured but calm environment, where communication is clear and escalation is fast when needed.
You’re a master of systems, but never reliant on them — your instincts and training guide you first. You’ll use advanced flight planning tools, but your best assets will always be instinct, training, and sound judgment. Your communication will be fast, factual, and unshakably clear, even at 3 a. You’ll shift from planning calm summer routes to navigating through thunderstorms and rerouting across airspace restrictions — sometimes within minutes. You’ll use the latest dispatch software but rely just as much on your instincts and experience. You’ll embrace the pressure, knowing that your choices impact lives, timelines, and entire operations. If you think clearly under pressure, love aviation deeply, and want to guide flights with your mind — this is your place in the sky. This role isn’t glamorous — but for those who love aviation deeply, it’s as vital as the aircraft itself. If you think in maps, listen to the weather, and find peace in control — welcome to dispatch.
