Description:

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant Trainee who’s ready to take their first steps into the retail world — someone who’s enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn how to turn good service into great experiences. You’ll be introduced to the daily operations of the store, from welcoming customers to helping them find what they need. You’ll observe how experienced staff handle everything from product recommendations to checkout procedures. You’ll help restock shelves, organize displays, and keep the store looking clean and visually appealing throughout the day. We’ll train you on how to handle basic transactions and operate a POS system, one step at a time. You’ll assist with promotional signage, seasonal setups, and backroom prep to keep the store running smoothly. You’ll see how experienced staff handle complaints, offer solutions, and turn tough moments into positive ones. You’ll shadow team members to learn how to deal with complaints or questions in a calm, professional way. You’ll learn how to prioritize during busy periods and how to stay productive during quiet ones.

Basic Qualifications:

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including counting the till and securing the store.
• Stay informed on product knowledge, seasonal trends, and current promotions.
• Support a smooth shopping experience by anticipating customer needs before they ask.
• Tag, fold, or hang merchandise so everything looks presentation-ready.
• Restock shelves, manage inventory, and ensure all items are properly labeled and priced.

Preferred:

• Comfortable handling cash registers, POS systems, and basic transaction processing.
• Thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments with a positive team spirit.
• Understands how to meet daily or weekly sales targets and contribute to store goals.
• Organized with handling receipts, gift wrapping, or preparing customer orders for pickup or delivery.
