Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who specializes in turning imagination into edible reality — someone who loves crafting one-of-a-kind cakes and desserts that make every celebration unforgettable. You’ll be responsible for decorating a wide variety of baked goods, from birthday cakes and wedding tiers to seasonal pastries and signature desserts. You’ll work closely with the baking team to ensure all items are decorated and ready for display, pickup, or delivery on time. You’ll work with buttercream, royal icing, modeling chocolate, fondant, and airbrushing tools to create textures and effects. We expect you to stay calm under pressure, organized during peak hours, and focused on both beauty and speed. You’ll manage timelines carefully, working backward from delivery or pickup deadlines to build in drying time, layering, and finishing touches. We expect you to handle delicate components with care and stay focused even under time pressure or large order volume. You’ll maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow hygiene and food safety protocols at all times. You’ll help clean and sanitize your station and equipment daily, keeping everything food-safe and orderly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Photograph finished products for portfolio, social media, or marketing use.
  • Collaborate with customers or team members to customize designs for events, themes, or special occasions.
  • Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries with precision, creativity, and consistency.
  • Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.
  • Track inventory of decorative supplies like sprinkles, food coloring, fondant, and toppers.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with food safety practices, allergen handling, and maintaining cleanliness in a bakery environment.
  • Wants to grow into roles like Lead Cake Decorator, Bakery Owner, or Pastry Chef.
  • Comfortable customizing desserts for holidays, weddings, birthdays, or themed celebrations.
  • Background or passion in pastry arts, baking, cake design, or culinary presentation.
  • Pays close attention to color harmony, symmetry, and detail in every decoration.
