We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for night shifts in a hospital setting — no experience required, just reliability, composure, and a readiness to learn under pressure. We’ll train you how to greet donors, walk them through the process, and make them feel comfortable from check-in to juice and cookies. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. Every child is different — some cry, some freeze, some ask questions — and you’ll learn how to respond with patience and care. We’ll guide you through safety protocols, how to handle pediatric tubes and needles, and how to build trust with nervous parents. Every blood sample you collect contributes directly to diagnosing, treating, and protecting someone’s health. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. Some days will be challenging — but the small wins, like a brave smile or a high five after a clean draw, make it incredibly rewarding.

Basic Qualifications:

• Label vials clearly and accurately to prevent mix-ups in lab processing.
• Handle difficult draws with patience—whether it’s a child, a nervous adult, or hard-to-find veins.
• Assist with specimen collection beyond blood draws when necessary, like swabs or urine samples.
• Remain calm and gentle, even in busy or high-stress environments.
• Draw blood from patients of all ages using safe, sterile techniques.

Preferred:

• Open to flexible scheduling including weekends, early mornings, or rotating shifts.
• Knows how to handle fainting, nausea, or adverse reactions during collection.
• Comfortable collecting blood samples via needle, fingerstick, or heelstick when necessary.
• Able to identify suitable veins, prepare collection equipment, and follow proper site sanitation procedures.
• Experienced in using collection systems such as vacutainers, butterflies, and syringes.
