Description:

We’re hiring an Industrial Painter to apply protective coatings to metal, concrete, and machinery — perfect for someone who’s safety-conscious, physically strong, and precise with tools and technique. You’ll work in factories, warehouses, bridges, and shipyards applying primers, epoxies, and specialty coatings that protect equipment and infrastructure from wear and corrosion. You’ll prepare surfaces using sandblasting, pressure washing, grinding, or chemical treatments to ensure proper adhesion. You’ll clean, scrape, sandblast, or pressure wash surfaces to remove dirt, peeling paint, and mildew before applying coatings. You’ll apply primers, elastomeric coatings, masonry sealers, and UV-resistant paints designed to withstand the elements. You’ll apply coatings with brushes, trowels, sponges, and specialty tools to create layered depth and texture. You’ll mix pigments, glazes, and plasters to match color samples and blend seamlessly between areas. You’ll be trained to follow build schedules, paint specifications, and construction safety protocols on every site. You’ll be expected to complete daily job logs, report material usage, and communicate progress to supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Apply specialty finishes such as faux textures, murals, or waterproof coatings when needed.
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders, scaffolding, and chemical products.
• Apply multiple coats as needed, allowing appropriate drying time between layers.
• Take direction well and also work independently when assigned solo tasks.
• Work on both interior and exterior painting projects across residential, commercial, or industrial sites.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts while observing proper safety practices.
• Willing to work in occupied spaces respectfully, maintaining a clean and quiet work environment.
• Proficient in using brushes, rollers, and spray guns for smooth, even finishes on various surfaces.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Painter, Foreman, or Decorative Finishes Specialist.
• Thrives in active, hands-on work environments where precision and pride in work are essential.

You’ll be trained in proper PPE use, respirator care, and handling of solvents and exterior-grade materials. You’ll help clean brushes, rollers, trays, and workspaces at the end of each shift, leaving the site tidy and professional. You’ll work in hot, cold, windy, or humid conditions while maintaining a steady pace and clean technique. You’ll be expected to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail and clean lines. You’ll be expected to follow lockout/tagout procedures and understand MSDS sheets for all materials used. You’ll work indoors or outdoors in all seasons depending on the assignment and surface conditions. Experience in decorative or traditional painting is a plus, but we’ll train creative, careful candidates with a passion for interior beauty.
