Description:
We’re seeking an IT Support Technician who’s equal parts tech-savvy and people-friendly. You’ll handle hardware setups, software installs, user accounts, and troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms. Your calm, methodical approach helps keep users at ease, even when their tech isn’t cooperating. You’ll set up new devices, install software, reset passwords, and handle support tickets like a boss. Whether it’s hardware hiccups or software quirks, you know how to keep cool and find solutions. You’ll manage user accounts, permissions, and access across multiple platforms and tools. Basic Qualifications:
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes by suggesting new tools, automations, or documentation updates.
- Respond to service desk tickets using ITSM tools like Jira, Freshservice, or Zendesk—tracking progress and communicating clearly with users.
- Perform regular system health checks, backups, and routine maintenance to keep devices and systems running smoothly.
- Train users on new tools or systems, either through quick demos, walkthroughs, or written guides.
- Stay up to date on internal policies, IT procedures, and best practices—especially regarding data protection and cybersecurity.
Preferred:
- Capable of diagnosing and resolving issues related to connectivity, permissions, or user access.
- Can assist in maintaining inventory, updating IT logs, and organizing documentation.
- Organized, responsive, and able to prioritize tickets based on urgency and impact.
- Knows how to identify recurring issues and report trends to help improve IT systems.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
