Description:
We’re hiring Auto Mechanic Trainees who are ready to start over — whether you’re coming from retail, construction, IT, or a desk job you were never passionate about. If you’ve ever said “I just want to work with my hands and see the result of what I build,” this is your moment to make that real. You’ll perform oil changes, brake jobs, suspension work, and engine diagnostics with consistency, care, and clear documentation. You’ll be trained by experienced techs who don’t care what you look like — they care how you torque a bolt, run diagnostics, and ask the right questions. You’ll start with foundational tasks: oil changes, fluid checks, brake inspections, tire rotations — and understand what’s happening, not just “follow the checklist. ” You’ll learn how to lift safely, use tools properly, identify wear, and catch early warning signs — the stuff that makes a mechanic valuable, not replaceable. You’ll get introduced to scan tools, wiring diagrams, and step-by-step troubleshooting — always with support, never alone. You’ll work on real vehicles, touch real engines, and be part of real repairs — with supervision, feedback, and support every day. You’ll learn how to think mechanically: to spot wear, hear unusual sounds, and troubleshoot the cause — not just the symptom.
Basic Qualifications:
- Monitor for recurring issues or recall-related problems and notify customers or service writers accordingly.
- Respect customer property—using protective covers, floor mats, and returning vehicles in clean, working condition.
- Maintain inventory of tools, request replacements, and ensure calibration of diagnostic equipment when needed.
- Follow repair orders, technical manuals, and manufacturer guidelines to ensure accurate and safe vehicle servicing.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete inspection forms, logs, or repair tickets using shop management software.
Preferred:
- Able to communicate clearly with customers or service advisors about findings and estimates.
- Familiar with using diagnostic tools such as OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
- Comfortable working on both gas and diesel engines; hybrid or EV experience is a bonus.
- Background or training in automotive repair, technical school, or certified apprenticeship.
- Pays attention to detail when documenting repairs, parts used, and recommended services.
Benefits:
- We’ll keep you running — with a job that provides steady work and solid benefits.
- Supportive management — your voice is heard, and your work is valued.
- Enjoy a clean work environment, with a team that keeps things organized and efficient.
- Competitive pay that rewards your experience and expertise.
- Get recognized for your expertise — no more being overlooked.
You’ll gradually be trusted with more — suspension work, diagnostics, even customer test drives if that’s your goal. You’ll start to recognize patterns: noises, wear, common failures — and eventually, you’ll stop needing to ask every time. You’ll earn respect by doing things right, cleaning up after yourself, checking torque specs, and not being afraid to say “I’m not sure — can you show me? You’ll be supported if you choose to pursue certification, further training, or even specialize in diagnostics, EVs, or body work down the line. You’ll go home tired, maybe sore — but also proud, because you fixed something real, and someone’s car runs better because of you. You’ll be paid fairly for what you know and given chances to keep learning, certifying, and moving forward. You’ll be part of a shop that’s not just “open to women,” but actively building a future where more women run the floor, own their bay, and train the next ones coming up. If you’re serious about learning this craft, respect the shop floor, and want to grow into someone others trust — we’re ready to teach you everything we know.
