Description:

We’re welcoming a motivated Architect Trainee to join our design studio and learn how great spaces are imagined, refined, and realized — no experience necessary, just passion and a sharp eye. You’ll assist our team in the early stages of design development, including site analysis, concept sketches, and schematic layouts. We’ll teach you how to read and create architectural drawings, from floor plans to sections and elevations. You’ll help create renderings, diagrams, and design documents that communicate ideas to clients and contractors. Expect to sketch, iterate, model, and refine — learning that design is a process, not just a drawing. You’ll help gather site data, take measurements, and understand how physical constraints shape design decisions. We’ll show you how to evaluate lighting, circulation, and functionality in each design iteration. You’ll help prepare mood boards, material palettes, and architectural diagrams for review. You’ll also sit in on client consultations to understand how architects balance vision, budget, and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Balance innovation with constraints like cost, space, and environmental impact.
• Adapt your communication style for clients, builders, and city officials alike.
• Present concepts to stakeholders with clarity, whether it’s a sketch or a full 3D walkthrough.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs during construction to maintain design fidelity.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate progress and ensure design specifications are being followed.

• Familiar with building systems integration (MEP, structural) and interdisciplinary collaboration.
