Description:

We’re looking for a responsible and proactive Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our online community. You’ll be responsible for enforcing the server rules, ensuring that users engage in a respectful and friendly manner. You’ll assist in moderating conversations, identifying disruptive behavior, and addressing any issues to maintain a safe environment. You’ll help organize and manage events, including discussions, games, and announcements, to keep the community engaged and active. You’ll help organize and moderate community events, ensuring engagement and participation from all members. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to ensure fair decision-making and consistency in rule enforcement across the server. You’ll collaborate with other moderators and the community management team to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere. You’ll engage with members, answer questions, and offer assistance to ensure that all users feel heard and valued.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help test new bots, features, or server changes before they’re rolled out to the whole community.
• Actively engage with members to encourage participation, keep conversations flowing, and defuse tension early.
• Monitor chat activity across all channels to ensure conversations stay respectful, on-topic, and within community guidelines.
• Encourage good behavior by recognizing helpful members, sharing wins, and reinforcing positive community norms.
• Contribute to moderation documentation or SOPs so new mods can learn best practices quickly.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to how others interact and knows when to step in or stay neutral.
• Can greet new members and help guide them through the server’s channels and roles.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Open to learning how to mute, warn, or report users who violate guidelines.

You’ll help maintain an organized and user-friendly server, ensuring that all members have easy access to necessary channels and resources. You’ll assist in managing user roles, permissions, and other administrative tasks to maintain order and structure on the server. You’ll provide support for new members, helping them get acclimated to the community and feel welcomed from the start. You’ll assist in gathering feedback from community members and report any concerns to the management team. You’ll work collaboratively with team members, helping to improve the overall community experience through effective communication and moderation. This remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to an exciting online environment.
