We’re looking for a Canva Template Designer who doesn’t just follow design rules — they *bend* them to create stunning, user-friendly templates that people actually want to use. Whether it’s an Instagram carousel, a business proposal, a course workbook, or a digital planner, your work makes people say, “Wait… can I get this template? You get a rush from turning a messy concept into a clean, polished digital product — whether it’s for social media, eBooks, pitch decks, or online courses. This isn’t just about making things “pretty” — it’s about building templates that non-designers *want* to use and can easily customize. You’re comfortable working with branding guidelines, yet creative enough to stretch them in fresh ways. Collaboration comes naturally, but so does independent execution — give you a brief and you’ll deliver 10 options before lunch. You’re collaborative, open to feedback, and always thinking about how to make the next design even better.

Basic Qualifications:

• Update existing templates regularly to keep them fresh, on-trend, and aligned with Canva platform changes.
• Maintain a library of reusable design elements, icons, and layouts to speed up future creation.
• Research market trends and audience preferences to create on-brand, relevant, and commercially viable template styles.
• Support digital product launches (e.g. Etsy, Gumroad, personal site) by preparing template previews, mockups, and usage demos.
• Organize templates into collections and deliver them with proper naming, layer structure, and guidance for end-users.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working with feedback and iterating on designs to meet client needs.
• Knows how to organize and name template files for easy client use and resale.
• Wants to grow into roles like Brand Designer, Content Creator, or Creative Lead.
• Comfortable creating templates for marketplaces like Etsy, Creative Market, or Gumroad.
• Knows how to use Canva's brand kits, grids, and advanced features like animations.
