Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Online English Tutor to help students master the English language. You’ll be responsible for teaching English to students of all ages, providing personalized instruction based on their proficiency level. You’ll create customized lesson plans to focus on areas such as grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking skills. You’ll provide clear explanations of complex language concepts, helping students build a solid foundation in English. You’ll provide constructive feedback on assignments and during conversations, helping students improve their language abilities. You’ll assist with exam preparation, helping students review for tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English exams. You’ll foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in conversations. You’ll track and monitor student performance, adjusting lesson content to ensure continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide regular updates to parents (for younger learners) or progress summaries for adult learners upon request.
• Maintain clear communication with students (and/or parents) regarding scheduling, cancellations, and expectations.
• Use a mix of real-life examples, role-plays, and interactive tools to make lessons practical and enjoyable.
• Balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities for a well-rounded learning experience.
• Conduct engaging one-on-one or small group lessons over Zoom, Skype, or teaching platforms tailored to students' levels and goals.

Preferred:

• Uses online resources like ESL worksheets, YouTube, or news articles effectively.
• Wants to grow into roles like Curriculum Designer, ESL Coach, or Academic Coordinator.
• Experience preparing students for tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or general conversation practice.
• Able to make classes interactive using games, visuals, or real-life examples.
• Comfortable teaching speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

You’ll work closely with students to identify and overcome any language learning challenges they may face. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while helping students achieve their language goals.
