Description:

We’re hiring a Residential Electrician to wire, repair, and upgrade electrical systems in homes and apartments — perfect for someone who values safety, neat work, and client satisfaction. You’ll read blueprints, technical diagrams, and wiring schematics to plan and execute safe, code-compliant installations. You’ll read and interpret residential blueprints, floor plans, and load calculations to plan efficient and code-compliant layouts. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues like flickering lights, outlet failures, and overloaded circuits in high-use environments. You’ll perform routine maintenance on panels, circuit breakers, and control systems to prevent future issues. You’ll communicate clearly with clients under stress, explaining the issue, risks, and repair plan in a calm, professional tone. You’ll ensure proper grounding and bonding of all systems and verify continuity for safety and functionality. You’ll ensure every job site is left tidy and all visible work is aligned, labeled, and tested before completion. You’ll coordinate with general contractors, HVAC techs, and plumbers on site to ensure smooth cross-trade workflow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics accurately.
• Keep accurate logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, or facility managers on project timelines and requirements.
• Maintain licensing and certifications as required by local and national regulations.
• Supervise apprentices or junior electricians, offering guidance on proper techniques and safety.

Preferred:

• Capable of conducting routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and upgrades to existing systems.
• Understands the handling of low-voltage systems, grounding, and surge protection methods.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Familiar with installing new electrical infrastructure during renovations or new construction projects.
• Capable of working independently or within a larger construction or facilities maintenance team.

You’ll be trained to follow lockout/tagout procedures and adhere strictly to safety standards on every job. You’ll follow all safety protocols for live work, lockout/tagout, confined space access, and public area precautions. You’ll be trained to respond quickly to power failures, control faults, or shutdown scenarios with calm precision. You’ll rotate between projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs depending on plant demand. You’ll be expected to climb ladders, access electrical rooms, and work in hot, loud, or confined environments. You’ll mentor junior team members when needed, sharing your knowledge of troubleshooting, layouts, and safe practices. You’ll stay current with local building codes, commercial-grade materials, and modern lighting systems.
