Description:
We’re hiring a Dental Assistant who brings more than just clinical skill — you bring heart, presence, and trust to every patient interaction. You’ll be the calming presence that helps patients feel at ease the moment they sit in the chair. From preparing treatment rooms to handing instruments during procedures, you’ll be an extra set of skilled hands for the dentist. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, sterilize tools, and anticipate every need like a true professional. You’ll be the steady hand during procedures, offering instruments, suction, and a sense of calm when it’s needed most. You know when to speak, when to listen, and when to reassure a nervous patient with just a look. You’ll track procedures, update charts, and keep meticulous records that make follow-up smooth and accurate. You’ll be responsible for infection control and patient safety — and you take both seriously. You’ll update charts, track inventory, and ensure every detail is in place behind the scenes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, taking impressions, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Support oral surgeries or specialty treatments (e.g., orthodontics, endodontics) as needed based on clinic services.
- Help manage patient flow—minimizing wait times, preparing the next patient, and keeping the dentist informed of timing.
- Take intraoral photos and assist in digital scanning when required for treatment planning or case documentation.
- Welcome patients, confirm appointment details, and help ease anxiety by creating a calm, friendly environment in the clinic.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Office Manager.
- Experience assisting dentists during procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Understands how to take and process X-rays following safety regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to help patients feel at ease before and during treatment.
- Maintains professionalism and compassion with every patient interaction.
Benefits:
- You’ll build relationships with returning patients — and they’ll ask for you by name.
- Opportunities to grow into lead assistant, office manager, dental hygiene, or even clinical educator roles.
- You’ll assist with X-rays, sterilization, impressions, cleanings, and chairside procedures.
- Access to modern equipment, digital records, and the tools you need to do your best work — no outdated gear here.
- We celebrate clean setups, fast turnarounds, and the ability to keep both dentist and patient calm and comfortable.
You’ll support anxious kids, tired adults, and those who haven’t seen a dentist in years — always with kindness. You’ll answer patient questions, offer post-procedure guidance, and make sure they leave feeling supported. You’re someone who knows that healthcare is human work, and dentistry is no exception. You’ll translate dental lingo into plain language, helping patients understand what’s happening and what’s next. You’ll turn a 30-minute appointment into a surprisingly pleasant experience (yes, really). Your role may be behind the scenes, but the impact you make is front and center. You may not wear the white coat, but patients will remember you just as much as the one who does. If you love teeth, teamwork, and making people feel a little more human in the dental chair — let’s do this.
