Description:

We’re looking for an Animator Trainee who sees movement as design in motion — someone who’s ready to learn how rhythm, spacing, and exaggeration can transform still art into dynamic storytelling. You’ll support the animation team on 2D projects ranging from social content to indie games to animated shorts. We’ll teach you core animation principles, frame-by-frame thinking, and how to make motion support narrative and emotion. You’ll work with senior animators to clean up keyframes, adjust timing, and ensure motion feels natural and expressive. Expect to use tools like Blender, Maya, or Spine depending on the project style and pipeline. You’ll help export animation assets, manage file structures, and learn how animation integrates with design and development. You’ll participate in team reviews and learn how to give and receive feedback that improves flow and clarity. You’ll help export animated sequences, organize scene files, and contribute to studio-ready delivery folders. You’ll also learn how to animate in constraints, match existing styles, and keep things optimized for performance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Refine animation based on feedback from creative leads, directors, or clients.
• Ensure timing, movement, and weight feel believable—even in stylized or exaggerated animation styles.
• Adapt animations based on gameplay needs, UI interactions, or platform limitations.
• Work efficiently within tight feedback loops and shifting creative directions.
• Contribute to storyboards, animatics, or previsualizations to define timing and flow early.

Preferred:

• Experience creating 2D or 3D animations for games, film, explainer videos, or social media content.
• Familiar with principles of motion graphics and kinetic typography as a bonus skill.
• Enjoys making things come to life through gesture, rhythm, and visual impact.
• Thrives in fast-paced, creative environments where animation drives viewer engagement.
• Can follow brand guidelines or creative briefs while still contributing original ideas.
