Description:

We’re hiring a Dishwasher for our night shift — perfect for someone who prefers quiet hours, steady tasks, and takes pride in leaving the kitchen spotless for the next day. You’ll be responsible for washing plates, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans using both industrial machines and manual methods. You’ll operate commercial dish machines, scrub large pots and pans, and ensure everything is sanitized and properly stored. You’ll help clean kitchen equipment, counters, shelves, and floors as part of daily closing routines. You’ll help empty and sanitize trash bins, recycling, and compost stations as part of end-of-day procedures. You’ll collect dirty trays from return stations, stacking and sorting them for safe and efficient washing. You’ll collect dirty dishes from room service carts and banquet halls, returning them quickly to the wash area. You’ll be trained in food safety, chemical handling, and hygiene practices according to local health codes. You’ll follow all hotel hygiene standards and help prepare for regular health inspections and internal audits.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sweep and mop floors in dishwashing and prep areas to prevent slips and maintain hygiene.
• Know that even though you’re behind the scenes, your work keeps everything moving forward.
• Follow restaurant health and safety standards at all times, including wearing proper footwear.
• Clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
• Follow opening and closing procedures for the dishwashing station accurately.

Preferred:

• Familiar with operating commercial dishwashing machines, including loading, unloading, and proper rack usage.
• Thrives in fast-paced, organized environments where cleanliness and teamwork are key.
• Open to helping prep food, portion ingredients, or assist cooks during slow dish periods.
• Comfortable maintaining a clean and organized dish pit area to prevent cross-contamination or delays.
• Enjoys contributing to the success of the team through behind-the-scenes work.

You’ll work in a variety of venues — ballrooms, rooftops, tents, backyards — adjusting to space and flow as needed. You’ll help sort rental items and separate broken or missing pieces for inventory after each job. You’ll receive break time, meal access, and guidance from kitchen leads who value reliability and efficiency. You’ll rotate between on-site dishwashing, packing, setup, and final cleanup depending on the event schedule. You’ll receive guidance from chefs or kitchen managers and be encouraged to grow into prep or line cook roles if interested. You’ll occasionally assist in early prep for the next day, such as thawing or restocking basic items. You’ll rotate shifts that may include early breakfast prep, weekend events, or evening banquets.
