We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist to restore high-end and designer footwear — ideal for someone who values precision, discretion, and the art of premium craftsmanship. You’ll handle walk-in repairs from customers looking for quick fixes, custom upgrades, and same-day results. You’ll be trained to work efficiently with compact tools and machines suited for small-space operations. You’ll assist in polishing, conditioning, and waterproofing shoes to extend their lifespan and improve their appearance. You’ll learn how to use micro-sanders, needle stitchers, and hand-finishing tools to restore like-new condition without altering original structure. You’ll help explain repair options to clients who may not know what’s possible, building trust through transparency and skill. You’ll assess each pair carefully, recommending repairs or alternatives based on structure, material, and cost. You’ll document repairs, log materials used, and track turnaround time for client orders and repeat customers. You’ll track common damage patterns for runners, skaters, and active clients — helping prevent future issues.

Basic Qualifications:

• Explain what’s repairable and what’s not, managing expectations with honesty and professionalism.
• Work with a variety of materials, including leather, rubber, canvas, and synthetics.
• Sew torn seams, reattach straps, and reinforce weak areas for long-lasting results.
• Handle boots, dress shoes, heels, sneakers, and specialty footwear with proper care.
• Customize insoles or inserts for orthopedic needs or comfort improvements.

Preferred:

• Willing to perform detailed work like orthotic insert adjustments or reconditioning vintage or luxury footwear.
• Familiar with using digital payment systems, service logs, or basic POS software in a repair shop setting.
• Pays close attention to measurements, fit, and symmetry for shoes that require resizing or reshaping.
• Open to experimenting with modern adhesives, repair materials, or eco-friendly solutions.
