Description:

We’re seeking an Online Chat Moderator who can keep the digital conversation flowing smoothly while upholding community standards with professionalism and empathy. You’ll be responsible for monitoring real-time chats, identifying violations, and stepping in when things go off track — all while making sure users feel welcome and respected. Your job isn’t just to silence negativity — it’s to help foster a space where real conversations can happen. You should have excellent judgment, the ability to remain neutral, and a knack for diffusing conflict with tact and clarity. Whether it's a livestream, Discord server, or community chat, you’ll enforce guidelines fairly while keeping things fun and friendly. You’ll respond to common questions, remove spam or abusive content, and help guide user behavior in a way that reflects our values.

Basic Qualifications:

• Flag and report technical issues, bugs, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate internal teams.
• Be available for weekend or evening shifts if chat activity peaks during those times.
• Be a calm, neutral presence in heated moments, de-escalating tension before it spreads.
• Support events, live streams, or launches by keeping chat clean, hyped, and on-brand.
• Stay up-to-date with platform policies (Twitch, Discord, YouTube, etc.) and community tool updates.

Preferred:

• Familiar with basic online etiquette and understands what behavior is unacceptable.
• Willing to work in shifts and collaborate with other moderators or team members.
• Comfortable with online communities, social media platforms, or forum-style chats.
• Enjoys watching how online communities evolve and thrive.
• Pays close attention to detail and can spot problematic behavior or spam quickly.
