Description:
We’re looking for a Cook who can handle the heat — someone who moves fast, stays sharp, and turns ingredients into comfort, flavor, and consistency every shift. You’ll prep ingredients, follow recipes, and execute dishes that are consistent, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You’ll work alongside a kitchen team, communicating clearly and keeping the pace steady during slow hours and busy rushes alike. You’ll follow recipes and portion guides closely to ensure every plate meets quality and presentation standards. You’ll maintain a clean and organized station, following food safety standards and hygiene practices with discipline. You’ll check temperatures, label and store items properly, and reduce waste by prepping smart and portioning correctly. You’ll be expected to adapt quickly, whether helping on grill, sauté, pantry, or assisting with bulk prep during events. You’ll help open or close the kitchen depending on your shift, handling everything from early prep to final scrub-downs. You’ll support the team by jumping in wherever needed — from slicing and dicing to washing and wiping.
Basic Qualifications:
- Train junior kitchen staff or dishwashers in prep, cleaning, or basic cooking tasks.
- Be punctual and reliable—your presence is essential to the kitchen running smoothly.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors when ingredients or supplies are running low.
- Work efficiently during high-volume hours while staying calm under pressure.
- Work quickly without sacrificing safety, especially when handling knives, fryers, or hot pans.
Preferred:
- Thrives in high-energy, collaborative environments where food is made with care.
- Comfortable multitasking across prep, cooking, and cleanup responsibilities.
- Familiar with reading and following recipes, portion guidelines, and kitchen prep lists.
- Able to clean and maintain kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment after service.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment under pressure during busy hours.
Benefits:
- Opportunities to learn new cuisines, plating techniques, and kitchen tools.
- Free staff meals every shift — you deserve to eat well too.
- Clean, well-stocked stations — no more hunting for a sharp knife.
- Work in a real kitchen — not a microwave station.
- Every dish is your canvas — and we notice the details.
Mistakes will happen, and that’s okay — what matters is you learn from them and keep improving. You’ll develop a feel for flavors, textures, and cooking temperatures with guidance from our head cook. You’ll gain a basic understanding of kitchen tools, equipment, and storage — nothing fancy, just real fundamentals. If you’re curious, hardworking, and can take feedback without taking it personally, you’ll fit in just fine. This role is ideal for someone who wants to master their craft, work hard, and be a reliable part of a strong kitchen team. We believe cooking is a skill anyone can learn with patience, support, and repetition. This is an ideal role if you’re starting out and want to build confidence in a real kitchen, not just a classroom. Let’s build a kitchen where every shift feels smooth, every plate feels right, and the team feels like one line working together.
