Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Translation Specialist to help ensure that our content reaches a global audience in multiple languages. You’ll be responsible for translating written documents, audio, and video content from one language to another, ensuring meaning is preserved. You’ll collaborate with other departments to ensure translations are aligned with company messaging and industry standards. You’ll provide timely and high-quality translations, making sure all content is consistent with the tone and intent of the original text. You’ll manage and prioritize multiple translation projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality. You’ll ensure all translated content is properly formatted, taking into account industry-specific terminology and client preferences. You’ll use translation tools and software to maintain consistency and improve efficiency across projects. You’ll work on various types of content, including technical documents, e-learning modules, and legal contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work with a wide range of materials including websites, marketing copy, technical manuals, legal documents, subtitles, and app interfaces.
• Translate written content accurately from one language to another, ensuring meaning, tone, and cultural nuance are preserved.
• Stay updated on language trends, regional usage, or spelling differences (e.g., US vs UK English, formal vs informal Spanish).
• Support localization efforts by adjusting formatting, layout, or expressions to match cultural and regional expectations.
• Respond to revision requests or client feedback with professionalism and openness to improve final output.

Preferred:

• Able to proofread and edit own work before submission.
• Experience working with bilingual documents, spreadsheets, or presentations.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and receiving feedback from editors.
• Comfortable researching industry-specific terms to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Understands confidentiality standards and the handling of sensitive or proprietary materials.
