Description:

We’re hiring an Online Research Assistant who is passionate about digging deep into data, finding trends, and making informed decisions. You’ll conduct research across a variety of platforms, from academic databases to news sites, to gather relevant and trustworthy information. Your role will involve reviewing articles, reports, databases, and other digital content to extract valuable data and insights. You’ll assist in analyzing competitors, tracking market trends, and identifying opportunities for business growth. You’ll compile reports and present findings in a concise format, summarizing large amounts of data into digestible insights. You’ll synthesize large amounts of data into clear, concise reports, providing actionable insights for decision-makers. You’ll ensure all research materials are accurate, credible, and up-to-date by carefully verifying sources and facts. You’ll verify the accuracy of information, cross-checking multiple sources to ensure credibility and reliability. You’ll also be tasked with staying on top of emerging trends and best practices to ensure the team remains informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Continuously refine your research skills, tools, and strategies to improve speed and accuracy over time.
• Keep backups of your work and links in case pages change or disappear later.
• Stay organized using folders, naming conventions, and version control so no data gets lost or duplicated.
• Turn unstructured requests (“Find me examples of X in Y industry”) into structured research projects with clear deliverables.
• Organize and categorize data so it’s easy for team members to navigate, reference, and build on.

Preferred:

• Comfortable verifying facts, dates, or quotes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Knows how to spot biases or inconsistencies in sources or information.
• Knows how to organize findings into presentations, reports, or reference documents.
• Has worked with briefs or instructions and can deliver structured research results.
• Wants to grow into roles like Content Strategist, Research Analyst, or Data Journalist.
