Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who’s ready to jump into the fast-paced, high-volume world of agency content production. You know when to speed up a shot, when to pause, and when to let silence speak louder than any transition. You won’t be buried in theory — you’ll be editing real projects from week one, with guidance and feedback along the way. You’ll start by sorting footage, syncing audio, organizing timelines, and helping the team keep edits tight and clean. You’ll learn why pacing matters, how music changes emotion, and what makes a cut feel good — even if the viewer doesn’t know why. You’ll organize footage, sync audio, clean color, and add motion or music that elevates, not distracts. You’ll work in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci — and we’ll teach you how to stay organized when timelines get long. You’ll start by handling rough cuts, sound syncing, and basic formatting — then gradually take on more polished, client-facing edits. You’ll learn how to deal with echo, dead air, awkward pauses, and “uhhh... You’ll get a crash course in production logic: how to build for reuse, cut down 2 minutes into 15 seconds, and when to *not* add another transition.
Basic Qualifications:
- Edit for emotional impact—making sure pacing, music, and visuals support the intended tone and message.
- Sync audio and video, remove background noise, and adjust levels to ensure high-quality sound and clarity.
- Export final videos in various formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions depending on platform requirements (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1).
- Adapt to different creative styles—from fast-paced social clips to cinematic reels or corporate explainers.
- Cut, trim, and arrange clips for clarity and flow—balancing pacing, storytelling, and brand voice across short- and long-form content.
Preferred:
- Understands storytelling, pacing, transitions, and audio syncing to create engaging content.
- Enjoys crafting visual narratives that inform, entertain, or inspire viewers.
- Experience editing short-form and long-form videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or corporate presentations.
- Able to produce video variants for A/B testing, localization, or platform-specific goals.
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
Benefits:
- Revisions are collaborative, respectful, and focused — no endless “make it pop” notes without direction.
- If you’ve ever watched a video five times to adjust a single frame — you belong with us.
- You’ll collaborate with creative directors, writers, designers, and marketers — we’re a team, not a handoff chain.
- Work remotely and craft videos that people actually watch — not just scroll past.
- We recognize the invisible skill behind smooth cuts, audio polish, and subtle timing — and we say thank you.
You’ll be trained to watch content with a viewer’s eye: when to cut, when to let silence breathe, and how to keep things tight without rushing. You’ll edit for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, maybe even LinkedIn if we’re feeling wild — and learn how each platform thinks differently. You’ll improve your skills not just technically, but editorially — learning to feel pacing, build tension, and know when a moment needs to breathe. You’ll be part of brainstorms, suggest moments for highlights, and start noticing narrative arcs even in casual conversation. You’ll bring energy to quiet edits, and subtlety to loud ones — because you know it’s not just what’s shown, but how it’s felt. You’ll finish this internship with more confidence, sharper skills, and work you’re proud to include in your reel. If you love timelines, tight cuts, and the thrill of making a video *feel* right — this is your editing playground. If you love timelines longer than 10 minutes, storytelling through pacing, and fixing “we’ll edit this later” moments — this internship is for you. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
